Karina, also a member of the La Linea sex worker community, began to visit our community center in 2011.  She often volunteered to tutor women enrolled in our literacy and elementary school education classes.  As a result, in 2012, we hired Karina to teach out basic literacy and elementary school classes starting this fall.  Karina is currently being completing her training with the Guatemalan government’s CONALFA adult education program and will be fully certified by the summer.
